So Who Are You?

Anyone over the age of 16 needing to improve your computer software skills, learning English or Spanish, studing for the GED exam, getting ready for the Citizenship Interview, or wanting to learn a new skill.
English is not a requirement for English or GED students as we have bilingual tutors.

How To Get Started?

  • You fill out an application.
  • We check to make sure we have room for you at the times you want to attend (all students are required to attend 3 classes per week).
  • When you come to the office you sign in, are assigned a computer, provided a headset, and given a login and password.
  • As you go through your courses if you have questions or need additional assistance you are encouraged to get with the staff so that we can provide you with the information you need quickly.

The Cost?

If you live in Lompoc, for every 6 hours you study, you owe one hour of volunteer time.

No time to do the volunteer time? Then the cost is $35.00 per month.

The exceptions: the GED Book is $25.00, the Basic Math Book is $25.00 and the Citizenship class is $15.00 for the materials.

All students must pay a $35.00 dollar refundable deposit.

All students must do volunteer time, unless they select the pay option.

What Sites & Software Do You get access To?

The site for general training, they currently offer over 3,000 courses ranging from the Microsoft Application Suites, Adobe Suites, Bussiness, Photography, Animation, audio, video, cad, computer basics and more.

Language students are taught by our bilingual tutor to perfect their language skills.

GED students use Khan Academy, their GED Study book and our tutors to get them on track for passing the exam. Basic math students use our Basic Math Book and have the aid of our tutors to assist them in their studies for the GED.
